Pillow Academy 11th Grader Receives DAR Youth Leadership Medal

The Chakchiuma Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is pleased to announce that Miss Natalie Butler, an 11th‑grade student at Pillow Academy in Greenwood, has been awarded the DAR Youth Leadership Medal.

This prestigious medal is presented to young people who demonstrate exceptional qualities in five key areas:

  • Honor – honesty, high principles, trustworthiness, loyalty, truthfulness, punctuality, moral strength and stability, cleanliness in mind and body

  • Service – meritorious behavior benefiting school or community, kindliness, unselfishness, true Americanism, individual responsibility to God, Home, and Country

  • Courage – mental and physical determination to overcome obstacles

  • Leadership – personality, originality, ability to lead others, good sportsmanship, responsibility

  • Patriotism – fundamental Americanism

Natalie is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Butler of Greenwood.

The DAR Youth Leadership Medal is one of many ways the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution supports and encourages the next generation of American leaders. The Chakchiuma Chapter is proud to recognize Natalie’s achievements and bright future.
