Flags Fly Across Greenwood for Independence Day
The Chakchiuma Chapter NSDAR was proud to help Greenwood celebrate Independence Day with a display of 14 large American flags across the community on the Fourth of July.
Flags were placed along Grand Boulevard, Highway 82, and at the American Legion, greeting neighbors and travelers with the stars and stripes as they marked our nation's 250th year of independence.

A display like this takes hands—and ours showed up. Thank you to Pat Crick, our Flags Chairman, for coordinating this year's effort, and to Billy Bowman, Melanie Bowman, Jeff Warren, and Rob Spiller for their help getting the flags in place.
A Meaningful Year for Old Glory
This year's Fourth of July carried special significance as our nation marked its semiquincentennial—250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. Seeing the flag raised across Greenwood was a fitting way to honor the occasion and the generations who have defended it.
We're grateful to live in a community that takes pride in our nation's symbols and history.
